I am buying a three year old house and I want to change the code on the garage door opener when I get out to the new house.
I just bought a 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES, and i would like to know how to get the built-in garage door opener to work. the garage door opener is in the top middle by the temp. read out. If you can help me, that would be great!!.. Thanks.
Only one sensor light is lit and usually both lights are lit as sensors face each other.Thinking that was the problem we switched them (no help) and now ordered new sensors but as soon as it warmed up the garage door shut just fine. Can the weather be affecting my opener’s performance?
I’m moving into a new house this week, and the garage doesn’t have a remote opener. The door is hung rather than being on a track. It’s a solid wooden door and it sort of swings open.
Can I install an opener for this kind of door? Is there anything special I should know about?
It’s a one-piece wooden tilt-up door.
I have a sears garage door opener that is about 20 years old
When I had the springs to my garage door/opener replaced a while ago, the guy said that I should oil the hinges and tracks to the door occasionally with silicone spray.
Should I do the same to the chain that’s on the ceiling of the garage? If so, with silione spray or something else?

Thanks to all who replied. I like mike4400′s response the best. I also like his suggestion of oiling the chain when we change our clocks. That’s a good reminder. I change the smoke detector batteries then, too. Thanks again to all.

hi, i was wondering if you could give my an idea of how much it would cost to build a simple 20×20 detached garage. i would want it built in the least expensive manner possible with a garage door opener. it would be built on a dirt lot, so foundation would be needed. please include approx. cost of labor and materials. thanks, david
