I was just wondering if having a garage door installed usually comes with some sort of warranty? If there is problems down the road would it be the installers responsibility to fix it? and how important is finding an installer that offers a warranty?

When I open the garage door it makes a clunking noise. The noise appears to be coming from the unit itself, not the door. It’s kind of a clunk, clunk, clunk like something is hitting something. My dad took the cover off and it appears to be moving normally, but it’s very hard to see because of it’s location. Any ideas what is wrong?
If the chain is trying to walk off the sprocket, how do you fix it?

My dogs somehow managed to chew a hole on the inside of my garage door. I don’t know what the material is called, but it looked like styrofoam. They didn’t chew through the outside metal part, just the inside when they were playing in the garage. Where do I get this material so I can replace it?

I have a 2 car garage door that is heavy to open by hand and am suspicious that the springs are going. So I am looking into having them checked. Thanks in advance.
OK thanks everyone for your input, found someone to adjust it for (Chicago market)

I think the spring might be longer on the right side than the left looking at the door from the inside. Can I repair it myself or will I have to get a garage door opener person to do it. Thanks

I need a serious answer .
You are in the house and the car is in the garage. You start up the car and close the garage door shut, the garage does have the little small spot for air. Can you die or suffer intoxication (or how that’s call) from the CO2 that the car release while you are in the house ???
I don’t think so but my mom kept arguing with me and open the garage door ~_~. Unless you are deathtrap or something. I don’t want to but it is winter and it’s so cold to leave it open >< .

I live in Washington, DC. I want to put in a rolling garage door on the back end of the backyard of our townhouse. The backyard connects to the ally. We plan to park our car in the back of backyard. We just want this free-standing rolling garage door so we can easily drive in and out of the backyard. How much would this cost?

I drove into my garage door and wrecked it. (HAA-ha!)
Wondering what the average price for a new door is. It’s a 2-car garage, door is about 7×15.
Thanks!

When my garage door is opened, my entire neighborhood can hear it. It screams like an infant. Is there a special kind of oil reserved for garage doors like there is special oil for chainsaws?
